The FAS and the exchange will continue to work to prevent peaks in fuel trading. The reduction in price was facilitated by suppliers becoming more active in lowering prices during exchange trading.
The FAS of Russia, together with the St. Petersburg Exchange, will continue to develop measures to prevent peak values during fuel trading, the FAS press service told reporters.
They noted that there is currently a significant decrease in the exchange value of fuel. From October 24 to 29, prices for AI-92 decreased by 11.2% (from 74.218 to 66.745 thousand rubles per ton), for AI-95 - by 6.9% (from 79.124 thousand to 74.014 thousand rubles per ton), for diesel fuel - by 9.6% (from 64.461 thousand to 58.84 thousand rubles per ton). The reduction in price was partly facilitated by suppliers becoming more active in lowering prices during exchange trading. Earlier, the FAS recommended using such a mechanism.
"The FAS of Russia, together with the St. Petersburg Exchange, will continue to analyze the trading behavior of market participants and develop further measures to prevent peak values during fuel trading," the agency added.
The FAS of Russia continues to monitor pricing in the wholesale and retail segments of the fuel market, the service noted.
